If you go on newegg.com and search for a heatsink called speeze and you will see WhisperRock II there. It's the very best i have ever bought. I have this heatsink for all my computers and i have them all overclocked because of this awesome heatsink. For example i have my 2600 xp cpu overclocked to 2.30ghz and the temp is only 116F or 46.7C which is really good. This cpu is cheap and very quiet. Probibally it's so good because it's all made of metal even the fan itself. Check it out..

| Looks like it would be good if you're not a heavy overclocker.... I think I have a HSF like that and it works well for the basics.

I don't think the 8 dollar fan can cool as well, and I bet the fan on top is not metal...

Looks like it can be adjusted for when there's no Tylenol on hand.

Actually, the fans material would have no affect on the cooling value of the fan. Its the blade design that controls how much air the fan can move.
Course, a plastic fan would be less of a drain on the system, since its interia to get it moving would be significantly less than a metal blade do the less mass it has.

Thats mine, I forgot to sign in (again). I hate doing these forums from four different computers, of which, only two our mine.

No, its just me, sorry on that. I am at my parents house doing this, and my girlfriends and my work comptuer and my laptop, but now I have that button for staying logged in checked on all of them, so I should be good now.
(yeah, I come here a lot, you'd think I actually have a running computer to OC by now.)

I installed this new fan on my XP 3200, and my temps are still high, I think..
118F to 120F at idel, load 122F or even up to 129 some times on FarCry...
I just played Serious Sam - The Second Encounter, for 9 mins killing all kinds of enemys, like 100 of them and my temp just got to 122F.

| I think the conversion is 1.8/temp plus 32 or depends what way you're converting.
